Romas Marine Monaco announces new sustainable project Romas Marine Garments
We have the pleasure to announce that Romas Marine has teamed up with local Monaco environmentalist and fashion designer Claudia Cherki to offer sustainable recycled Garments produced from marine waste
Today the fashion/textile industry accounts for up to 10% of global carbon dioxide output, more than international flights and shipping combined according to the United Nations Environment Program. Each year about 8 million tons of plastic waste gets released into the world’s oceans. Due to international regulations the players in the marine industry are more and more required to comply with strict sustainable Environmental (ESG) programs and our products fit this objective perfectly.
Romas Marine is therefore offering a unique concept of clothes and other textiles made from marine waste for the marine industry thus creating a circular economy which is sustainable and environmentally friendly and therefore strongly contributing towards a cleaner environment and reduction of CO2 emissions.
